Age 12+ to Adults

Flowetic®

Flowetic® is a beautiful class combining dance, toning and strengthening exercises alongside stretching and relaxation. It will provide fitness and well-being for the body and mind, suitable for all levels of fitness and dance experience. Beginners Welcome.

Equipment: Fitness Mats Provided
Clothing: Comfortable fitness or dance clothing
Footwear: Bare feet

Age 12+ to Adults

Adult Ballet

Beginners – A fun and enjoyable class suitable for those with little /no previous experience, those who are returning to ballet after a long break, those who are recovering from injury or those with other health conditions or of an older age. It is also suitable for those with more experience looking to improve technique and development with the basics. With a combination of barre exercises and centre practice, our Adult Ballet classes will help to improve posture, flexibility, muscle tone and musicality.

Mixed-Ability – Whether you have no previous experience to those who have danced before our mixed ability class combines all of the elements of a traditional ballet class with a combination barre exercises and centre practice to improve posture, flexibility, muscle tone and musicality. Depending upon your previous experience this class will have various options and developments throughout the course of a term so that you can work and develop at your own pace.

Improvers – Our new improvers ballet class is for those with previous ballet experience, through to those of a more advanced standard. This class will follow the RAD developing repertoire level 2 syllabus. Uniquely, it includes well-known classical repertoire from Coppélia and Giselle, meaning students will learn and dance choreography that they have seen on the stage, set to music that they know and love. (Equivalent to RAD grade 5/ intermediate foundation syllabus)

PLEASE NOTE –  If you don’t own your own ballet shoes please bring with you a pair of ankle/trainer socks to dance in. These should be rolled down to expose your heel to avoid slipping.  Once you have settled into the class we do recommend that you purchase a pair of ballet shoes to dance in. If you are unsure of what to buy please see Erica or Felicity for recommendations.

Age 14+ to Adults

Zumba®

We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. Suitable for everybody and every body! Beginners Welcome.

Age 12+ to Adults

Adult Tap

Beginners – The perfect class for complete beginners, for those returning to tap after a break or a great additional class for those who already take lessons and would like to learn more about the basics. Each class will comprise of fun tap exercises and is a great way to keep fit whilst having fun.

Mixed-Ability –
A lively fun class, with a range of tap exercises and routines to varying music styles. A great way to keep fit whilst having fun dancing! Easier and harder variations to each exercise and sequence previous tap experience to work alongside each other in a mixed ability class.

Improvers – This class is most suited to those with previous tap experience whether as a child or as an adult. This class will enable you to develop your existing tap skills through a variety of enjoyable tap exercises and sequences. Improving your rhythm, balance and co-ordination.

Clothing: Comfortable fitness or dance clothing
Footwear: Tap shoes any style, preferably with ball and heel taps.

PLEASE NOTE –  If you don’t own your own tap shoes please bring with you a pair of hard-soled shoes to dance in. Ideally with a low heel and sportive around the foot, in case we do not have a suitable pair of spare tap shoes for you to borrow. Once you have settled into the class we do recommend that you purchase a pair of tap shoes to dance in. If you are unsure of what to buy please see Erica for recommendations.
